The evening

Curated, not crowded.

Investors and executives talking over drinks on a high-rise terrace above the Austin skyline at dusk

Every guest is personally invited by the hosts. The result is a room built for the conversations that lead somewhere: new partnerships, fresh perspectives, and relationships that last.

Curated guest lists

Quality over quantity. Every name is read before an invitation goes out.

Elevated, not pretentious

Premium appetizers and craft cocktails. Designed for connection, not courses.

Strategic connections

Host-led introductions that move business forward.

Private and discreet

Introductions

A few of the people.

A short introduction to some of the investors, family office principals, founders, and operators you will find at Off The Grid. The evening itself is best seen in person.

The 2027 series

Two formats, one community.

Off The Grid goes monthly in 2027, alternating between the larger evening you already know and a smaller, invitation-only dinner. Each offers something different, and both belong to the same community.

Texas Capital Table

A smaller, pitch-free dinner.
25 guests6 evenings2.5 hours

One table, often built around a theme or topic, with food and drink throughout and phones down. Pitch-free by design. By invitation only, extended personally by the hosts. Photos only with guest consent.

Where conversations go deeper.

Off The Grid is where the community comes together. The Texas Capital Table is where a smaller group goes deeper.
How a Table evening works

Twenty-five guests around one table, often centered on a theme or topic. No pitches and no presentations, just real conversation among people who want to know each other better. If two guests want to talk about investing, we connect them after the dinner.

The calendar

Twelve evenings across 2027.

Dates are announced to the community first. Themes are shown in planned order, with the final lineup confirmed six weeks ahead of each evening.

Amie Paxton builds the systems that turn ambition into execution.

She is CEO and co-founder of Frictionless Intelligence, the AI platform that scores how ready startups are to execute and matches founders with the right investors. Frictionless has analyzed more than 1,500 startups and works with over 50 VC firms, angel investors, accelerators and pitch competitions.
